Christopher Sean Hicks, age 44, of Wildwood, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at his home.
Chris was one of a kind — a kind and giving man who loved his family and lived life on his own terms. He had a soft spot for Chevrolets, whether it was talking about them, driving them, or just admiring a good one when it passed by. If he wasn’t pulling for Georgia Tech football, you could find him enjoying the outdoors, 4-wheeling, or casting a line in the water hoping for a good catch. Chris will be remembered for his big heart, his love of family, and the good times he shared with those around him.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, James O. (Cathy) Hicks; mother, Shari Hicks; brother, David Chadwick Hicks; step-brothers, Derrick, Jeremy, and Nathan Carney; nephew and niece, Hayden and Haylee Hicks; uncles, Timothy and Mark Hicks; special friend and cousin, Eddie Heard; along with several extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Nancy Hicks; grandmother, Gloria Jean Lofty; and grandfather, Joe Dale Ratcliffe.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA. He will be laid to rest at Lake Hills Memorial during a private graveside service.
Chris lived fast, loved big, and will always be remembered with a smile.
