Ervin Henry Smith age 88 of Rossville, GA died Monday, July 14, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services are Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 2 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kazar Temple officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 Noon until service time.
Ervin was born June 1, 1937 in Rosalie, AL to parents, Joseph Virgil and Alice Irene Thurmond Smith. He worked many years at US Pipe and Foundry and later became an auctioneer working furniture and vintage sales throughout Georgia and Tennessee. He loved exploring yard sales and estate sales most every week. One of his favorite hobbies was keeping scrapbooks.
Survivors include his siblings, Joyce Walton, Mildred McElroy, Eddie Smith(Fayelene), Donald Ray Smith, Rondal Smith. along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ruby Martin Smith, son, Marty Dwayne Smith, sister, Lucille Dixson, brothers, Tom Smith, D W “Dub” Smith and Marshal Smith.
