Jimmy Thomas Marr, 84, of Bryant, AL, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, September 29, 2025 in a local health care facility.
Mr. Marr was a 1961 graduate of Pisgah High School and retired from Brock Candy Company in Chattanooga as a candy cook. He was a member of Bryant Baptist Church for over 30 years and enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends and his faith. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd & Beulah Marr, his wife of nearly 60 years, Joyce Marr, brother, Bobby Marr, infant brother, Lloyd Marr, infant sister, Martha Faye Marr, and infant granddaughter, Avery Faith Marr.
Survivors include his sons, Todd (Terri) Marr of Lookout Valley, TN, Jeff (Annette) Marr, Manchester, TN, & Jason Marr, Bryant, AL; bonus son, Johnny (Dena) Whiddon, Bryant, AL; grandkids, Casey (Marisa) Marr, Tabatha (Timothy) Waldo, Annie (Bricen) Doss, Matthew Marr, Hunter (Harley) Marr, Tyler Marr, & Lona Smith; great-grandkids, Milla, Huck, Nathan, Annika, Elenora, Christopher, & Jackson; bonus grandkids, Jon, Jacob, & Jessica; several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Chuck Carver officiating. He will be laid to rest at Maxwell Cemetery in Flat Rock, AL. Online condolences may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1st from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA
