Wanda Gail Avans Buttram age 81, of Ider, Alabama died peacefully at home on August 23, 2025. Funeral services are Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 1 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Renshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Chapel cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11 AM CT until service time.
Wanda was born on October 2, 1943 in Trenton, Georgia to parents, Howard and Lou Marshall Avans. She was a member of Beulah Chapel Baptist Church and worked at Town and Country Beauty Salon in Fort Payne for over 40 years.
Survivors include sons, Tommy (Kim) Gearrin, Matthew Buttram, daughter, Jackie (Ronny) Bradford, grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Clark, Victoria Gearrin, Shelby Bradford, Jake (Briana) Gearrin, great-granddaughter, Addison Clark, sister, Billie Townson, sister-in-law, Jimmie Avans, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Marshall James and Jim Avans, sisters, Mildred Castleberry, Marie Hurst and Burma Crow.
Her family would like to thank Tyler and other Amedysis Hospice staff for their support and care of mom.
