Ronald D. “Ron” Hundley

Ronald D. Hundley, 76, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, in Concord, North Carolina.

Born on August 5, 1949, in Chattanooga, TN to the late A.B. and Hazel Hundley, Ronald was a devoted son, father and grandfather whose life was defined by his unwavering love for his family. He graduated from Davis High School in 1967 and spent the majority of his career as a maintenance technician at Philip Morris. He retired in 2005.

Ron, or “Ronnie” as he was known to family and friends, was a devoted father who spent many years on the sidelines coaching his sons Jason and Jeremy.

An avid fan of both golf and sports, Ron could often be found surrounded by TVs, each tuned to a different channel, making sure he never missed a moment of the action.

Though he loved sports, Ron’s most precious thing in life and highest priority was being a grandparent. He treasured his time with his grandkids, spending many days as an adventure partner with his eldest grandson, Cannon, as they explored the sights and scenery of surrounding towns. Ron never missed an opportunity to attend a dance recital, a Disney vacation, a school concert or even an appointment at the ‘nail salon’ his granddaughters, Baylor and Kollyns would set up for him.

He is survived by his children Jason and Jeremy, along with their spouses and 3 grandchildren Cannon (14), Baylor (6) and Kollyns (6). —all of whom brought him immense joy. Ron is also survived by his sibling Garry.

A man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, Ron found joy in golfing, working outside, family dinners and caring for family pets. He delighted in making memories with his grandkids and never missed any opportunities to spend time with them.

Ron’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his kindness and humility. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 3rd at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Robert Goff officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2nd from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
