Theresa Ann Character Doherty age 74 of Pisgah, AL died Friday, December 26, 2025 at her residence after an extended illness. Funeral services are Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 1 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Green Haven Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM CT on Tuesday and 11 am until service time on Wednesday.
Theresa was born February 6, 1951 in Jackson County to parents, Herbert Leonard and Ann Hawkins Character. She was a 1969 graduate of Pisgah High School and had worked for Boeing Computer Support Services as a services buyer for the Space Shuttle and Space Station. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include husband, John Patrick Doherty II, children, Candi Bolin(Richard), David Aultman(Haley), Jeremy Doherty, Jenna Stevens(Rickey), grandchildren, Katie Riggan(Travis), Mady Sullivant, Addy Aultman, Hayden Aultman, Bailey Aultman, Jack Aultman, great-grandson, Palmer Riggan, sister, Glenda Haney(Roger). She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Steve Character.
