Alice Carol Melton, 78, of Chickamauga, GA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Mrs. Melton was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, crocheting, antiques, fishing and Georgia football. But above all, she enjoyed time spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer & Dorothy “Dot” Stansell, and sister, Nancy Lee.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Lynn Melton; children, Joe (Angelique) Melton, Lookout Mtn. GA, and Andy (Jill) Melton of Teloga, GA; grandchildren, Josie, Lakin, & Rayne Melton; sister, Kathy Ledford; several nieces & nephews.
