Doris Elaine Steele Smith age 79 of Ider, AL died Friday, January 16, 2026 at Accentcare in Cumming, GA. Private services will be held by her family.
Doris was born December 12, 1946 in Fort Payne, AL to parents, Hubert Violen “Jeff” and Mandy Pauline Beaty Steele. She was a 1965 graduate of Ider High School and had lived in the Ider area where she enjoyed taking care of her yard and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Will Smith(Laura), Andrew Smith(April), grandchildren, Connor Smith and Lucas Smith, sisters, Brenda O’Dell, Debbie Steele and brother, Boyd Steele. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stacey Smith and brother, Max Steele.
