Sarah Ann Lea Owens age 86 of Henagar, AL died Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. A service will be held at her church at a later date.
Sarah was born in Dekalb County, AL on May 31, 1939 to parents, William Ovie and Sarah Tressie Hicks Lea. She was a member of the Kingdon Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Fort Payne, AL and had worked as a Seamstress and on their farm for most of her adult life. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include husband, Vernon R. Owens, daughters, Renee Goss(Kenneth), Sandra Roberts(Eddie), son, Ray Goodridge, daughter-in-law, Carol Goodridge, grandchildren, Cristie Kase(Michael), David Goss(Morgan), Nicholas Goodridge, Lacie Lancaster(Zach), Brandi Klaver(James), Jonatha Phillips(Amanda), Samantha Hudson(Matt), 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Ruby Fay Twilley and a host of church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Lebron Goodridge, great-grandson, Ethan Goodridge, brothers, William Burnard Lea and David Ovie Lea.
