Clarence Lebron Welden age 76 of Flat Rock, AL died Friday, March 13, 2026 at Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga. Funeral service are Monday, March 16, 2026 at 3 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Nick Welden officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 to 7 PM CT on Sunday and from 12 Noon until service time on Monday.
Clarence was born August 14, 1949 in Fort Payne, AL to parents, William Sims (Bill) and Christie Coralee Shaw Welden. He was a 1967 graduate of Ider High School and had served from 1971 to 1977 in the Alabama National Guard. He had worked and retired from Cherokee Warehouse/Kenco and most recently at Jack’s. He had been a member of New Bethel Church of God for several years.
Survivors include his sons, Terry Welden, Cary Welden(Tracy), granddaughter, Emilee Kathryn Welden, sisters, Edna Welden, Hellen Welden, Betty Schweda(Joe), brothers, Arland Welden(Sue), Norman Welden, James Welden, Earl Welden(Kelly), sisters-in-law, Eva Welden, Jean Welden, along with a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Evelyn Sparks(Charles), brothers, H. R. Welden, Doyle Welden(Lela Mae), Charles Welden, nephew, Roger Welden, niece, Brenda Ellis and step-mother, Barbara Welden.
