Sandra Holland

Sandra Lynn Holland, age 61, of Flat Rock, Alabama, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Born on August 23, 1964, to the late Hester and Laura Mae Lee Thompson, Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished her family and faith.

Sandra found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including long walks immersed in nature’s beauty. Her strong faith inspired her service as Treasurer of the Shiloh Community Church in Flat Rock, Alabama, where she demonstrated her caring and selfless spirit. Known for her loving heart, she often put others before herself and took great delight in preparing meals for her family, especially during the holidays. For the past 20 years, Sandra worked with dedication as a cafeteria worker at Davis Elementary.

Sandra is lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Paul Holland; her sons, Rodrick (Teresa Lively) Holland and Bronson (Katie) Holland; grandchildren, Halen Holland and Hazel Holland; and her sister, Loula Mae Hall. Sandra also leaves behind cherished animal companions, Rip and Teeter, and is survived by her sister-in-law Shelia Ellis, brother-in-law Hank Holland, several nieces and nephews, as well as many extended family members and friends.

A funeral service to honor Sandra’s life will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM ET at the Larry Moore Memorial Chapel of Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, Georgia, with Brother Waylon Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM ET at the funeral home prior to the service. Sandra will be laid to rest at Payne Gap Cemetery in Flat Rock, Alabama.

Sandra’s warmth, kindness, and love for her family and community will be fondly remembered and celebrated by all who knew her.
