Augusteen Posey Brown age 91 of Dayton, TN died Friday, May, 16, 2025 at Small Town Senior Living at Deer Trail. Funeral services are Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 3 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel. Family will receive friends from 12 Noon until service time.
Survivors include sons, Andy Goforth(Brenda), Danny Lynn(Heather Moss O’Shields), several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown was born in Flat Rock, AL on August 1, 1933 to parents, Walter Blaine and Tennie Bea Gossett Posey. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked for a period of time as a hostess at Cracker Barrel in East Ridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ed Brown, son, Sam Goforth, siblings, Patty Allison, Siddie Lewis, Nannie Ruth Holcomb, brothers, Russell, Bonnie, Raymond and Abe Posey.
