Billy Jack “Bill” Greeson age 96 of Ider, AL died Monday, November 17, 2025. Funeral services are Friday at 2 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Holcomb and Bro Rayford Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Green Haven Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 PM on Thursday and 10 am until service time on Friday.
Bill was born November 6, 1929 in Henagar, AL. to parents, Paul and Lula Bell “Bob” Ivey Greeson. He was a 1948 graduate of Pisgah High School. After graduation he began working in Chattanooga, TN. and farming. As his family grew, so did his farming operation and he formed Greeson and Sons Farms. He was a constant figure on the farm and in the community offering advice and encouragement to fellow farmers. He enjoyed attending events supporting his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was still making his rounds checking on the crops and visiting his neighbors up until just a few weeks ago. A legacy of love and life well lived.
Survivors include children, Steve Greeson(LaDonna), Marty Greeson(Sheila), Anthony Greeson(Lisa), Todd Greeson(Dana), Michelle VanScoten(John), grandchildren, Krista Davis(Matt), Kandice Odom, Tiffany Townson(Heith), Alicia Chivers(Nick), Chad Greeson(Summer), Wesley Greeson(Natalie), Kyle Greeson(Darien), Garrett Greeson(Breanna), Daniel Greeson, Nicole Denton(Michael), Robert VanScoten, 14 great-grandchildren, sister, Linda Patton(Raymond), brother, Norman Greeson(Rila), along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Virginia Greeson, Infant sister, Iva Lee Greeson, brother, Raymond Dan Greeson.
