William “Butch” Michaels age 63 of Fackler, AL(formerly of Higdon) died Saturday, February 21, 2026 at CHI Memorial. Funeral services are Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 12 Noon CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. James Furgerson officiating and Perry Michaels speaking. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM CT on Monday and 10 AM until service time on Tuesday.
Butch was born October 11, 1962 in Atlanta, GA to parents, William and Martha Pritchett Michaels. He was a 1981 graduate of North Sand Mountain High School and had worked in construction as a carpenter. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Survivors include children, Brandy Michaels(Jason Elliott), Brittney Mariedth(Isaiah), Heather McAllister(Steven), J. R. Michaels(Tisha), siblings, Brent Michaels(Carol), Perry Michaels(Angela), Towana Furgerson(Jimmy), grandchildren, Shaylee Michaels, Ethan Michaels, Oakley Brewer, Owen Michaels, Elijah Michaels, Jamie Elliott, Jimmy Elliott, Willie Gregory, special friend, Amanda Stephens, along with a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
