Clifford Allen White age 82 of Fort Payne, AL died Friday, February 6, 2026 at his home. A Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 1 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rod McGill officiating. American Legion Honor Guard will perform Military honors during the service. Family will receive friends from 11 am until service time.
Clifford was born May 9, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to parents, Clarence and Wilma Williams White. Upon completion of High School he enter Aviation School and became a pilot. On August 10, 1965 he was inducted into the US Army in Fort Hood, TX as a Warrant Officer. He was transfer to the Air Force where his pilot skills were used during the Vietnam Campaign. He received a number of commendations including the Army Aviator Badge, Air Medal, Bronze Star and Vietnam Service Medal. Upon discharge from active duty on August 9, 1968, he returned to commercial aviation, where he spent 36 years with Continental Airlines as a pilot.
Survivors include wife Linda Smith White, daughters, Debbie Baly(Jeremy), Tracy White, Wendy Campbell Seay(Eugene), Kathy Wilson Barnes, sons, Kevin Wilson(Giovana), Keith Campbell(Karen), 24 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, 3 nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jackie White, brother, Jimmy White and and son, Ronnie Wilson.
