Darvin York

Darvin Kim York, age 61, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away on February 19, 2026.

Darvin was a loving husband, dad, Papa, and friend whose life was centered around his family. Nothing brought him more joy than being with the people he loved most — especially his grandchildren, Reagan, Ezrah, Hudson, Maddox, Macie, and Logan. They were his pride and joy, and he treasured every moment he got to spend with them.

Darvin was a founding member of West Cove Free Holiness Church in Chickamauga, Georgia where he was a faithful member for over 20 years. Much of his faith was lived out in the background, where he quietly served and encouraged others behind the scenes. Darvin never wanted recognition — he simply wanted to help, to lift others up, and to see the people around him succeed.

For more than 40 years, Darvin worked in the commercial printing industry, where he was known for his dependability, dedication, and strong work ethic. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed the simple things in life — being outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Myra York; his daughters, Emily (Bryan) Costley and Ellen (Derrik) Evanyk; his mother, Loretta York; his brother, Terry (Shawna) York; and his beloved grandchildren, Reagan, Ezrah, Hudson, Maddox, Macie, and Logan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darvin York; and his grandparents, Orville and Virginia York and Conway and Bertie Joiner.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Larry Moore Memorial Chapel of Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, Georgia, with Brother Aaron Wooten and Brother Darrell Townson officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Moore Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the service hour.

Darvin will be remembered for the way he loved his family, his steady presence, and the encouragement he so freely gave to anyone in need. He will be deeply missed, but the love and kindness he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
