Gary Alan Storie age 79 of Henagar, AL died Monday, December 23, 2024 at Erlanger Medical Center. Funeral services are Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 1 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Darrell Sears and Bro. Rodney Hammonds officiating. Burial will follow in Biddle Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM CT on Friday, December 27 and from 11 am until service time on Saturday.
Survivors include wife of 52 years, Brenda Cooper Storie, children, Gary Storie Jr.(Debbie), Aimee Pittman(Scottie), Rex Hairston(Christy), grandchildren, Blake, Kelsey, Keeley, Kerri, Phillip, Josh, Chip, Shawn, Daniel, Craig, Cody, Kalliee, Taylor, Megan, 25 great-grandchildren and fur baby, Boots.
Gary Storie was born January 16, 1945 in Fort Payne, Alabama to parents, Raymond and Flonnie Watkins Storie. He was a 1963 graduate of Ider High School and had worked in Telecommunications for TVA before retiring. He was a member of IBEW local 175 and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dale, daughter, Angie and in-laws, Johnnie and Oma Cooper.
