Linda Faye O’Neal Guffey age 70 of Bryant, AL died Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at her residence after an extended illness. Funeral services are Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 12 NOON CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill “Eugene” O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11 am until service time on Saturday.
Linda was born July 25, 1955 in Scottsboro, Alabama to parents, William F. and Edith McLemore O’Neal. She worked a number of years as a paper carrier for Chattanooga News Free Press in addition to being a wonderful mother to her children.
Survivors include husband, Carl E. Guffey Jr., children, Michael Guffey(Sara), Shawn Guffey(Kim), Terry Clark(Doug), nephew, Brent Staton, daughter-in-law, Jody Talley, grandchildren, Dani Pannell(Logan), Hali Guffey, Shawn Guffey, Kevin Guffey, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Carl E. “Bud” Guffey III, twin sister, Brenda Staton, siblings, William Eugene O’Neal Sr., Ruth Harding and aunt, Frances Pockrus.
