Linda McAdams Hixson, 83, of Chattanooga, formerly of Trenton, GA, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026 at her residence.
Linda was born on February 24, 1943 in Flat Rock, AL to the late Garland & Hazel Millican McAdams. She was a graduate of Davis High School and retired following many years of service at the Dade County Tax Assessor’s Office. Linda was a strong woman of faith and was a member of Terra Vista Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra McAdams and brother-in-law, Larry Christopher.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, DeWanna (Claude) Higdon-Shelton, Jerome (Crystal) Higdon, & Sam (Linda) Higdon; sister, Iris Christopher; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one nephew, and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Frankie Carroll & Rev. Jeff Howell officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
