Mary Sue Blevins Barkley age 80 of Ider, AL passed away after a lengthy battle with dementia at her daughter’s residence on February 11, 2026. Funeral services are Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 2 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Benefield, Pastor Frankie Carroll, officiating; Kim Lacy and Chadwick Saxon speaking. Sue was born October 3, 1945 in Chattanooga, TN to parents, Woodrow Wyle and Anna Bell Luster Blevins. She had worked as a seamstress at Simco Saddlery and later as a Bookkeeper at Hammonds Trucking. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed her flowers in the yard and gardening with her late husband Frank.
Survivors include daughter, Nancy Baxter Saxon, grandson, Chadwick Saxon(Katie), granddaughter, Amanda Saxon, great-granddaughter, Ivy Saxon, brothers, Woodrow W.W. Blevins Jr. and Don Blevins, niece, Kelli Moye(Scott), great-niece, Caroline Moye, great-nephews. Tanner and Will Moye. She was preceded in death her parents and husband, Frank Barkley.
