Mary Sue Wilson

Mary Sue Monroe Wilson age 85 of Blake Community died Friday, November 7, 2025 at her home. Funeral services are Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 1 PM at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery.

Mary Sue was born on 10/18/1940, to the late LeRoy & Ollie Monroe. She had one brother, the late Oliver Ray Monroe. Mary Sue spent her younger years attending Ider School, helping on her family’s farm & learning from the Bible. She loved music & was a very talented singer & bassist.

Mary Sue married Floyd Wilson, on 9/7/1957. The couple had a daughter, Levonia Sue, on 8/15/1959. The couple also fostered many children throughout their marriage, & a multitude of them still refer to them as “Mama Sue” & “Daddy Floyd,” to this day. Linda Fields is one of those fostered & considered a daughter. On 8/1/1981, Jennifer Lynn Wilson (now Coker) was born &, soon after, was legally adopted by Floyd & Mary Sue. Floyd passed from this world, on 2/23/2001.

Mary Sue attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church, & she made sure to instill the importance of God, salvation & repentance into her family & loved ones. She was surrounded by those loved ones, as she left this world to be present with the Lord.

Children- Levonia Wilson, Jennifer Coker (Clay), Linda Fields

Grandchildren- Dalton Jenkins, Jarrett Jenkins, Eli Coker, Robert Fields (Stephanie), Jeri Clines (Ashley)

Mary Sue was blessed with many great & great-great grandchildren & many nieces & nephews.
