George Stephen Bowen age 71 of Flat Rock died Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Cumberland Health and Rehab. Funeral services are Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 10 AM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with family members conducting the service. Burial will follow in Smith cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM CT on Wednesday and 9 AM until service time on Thursday.
Survivors include sisters, Doris Goff(Junior), Paulette Hawes(Marvin), nieces, Morris Ann Winnette(Bob), Julie Smith(Nick), Mikala Chapman(Nathaniel), nephews, Billy Joe Goff(Michele), Dewayne Goff(Angie), Johnny “Boo-Boo” Goff(Lisa), Talley “Bubba” Lambert(Kelly), John Paul Lambert(Aimee), Cody Sullivan(Constance), several great-nieces and great-nephews, along with special friends, Terry, Brian and Alan.
Stephen was born April 25, 1954 to parents, Paul Morris and Alma Marie Clark Bowen. He was a skilled rock and brick mason and enjoyed carving and sculpting wooden characters. He loved to ride his Harley and spend time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alam White, father, Paul Bowen, brothers, Morris Bowen, Leon Bowen and sister, Nora Lambert.
