TUESDAY NIGHT FIRE DAMAGES HIXSON HOME

A fire that began in the kitchen of a residence in the 2100 block of Crescent Club Drive in Hixson last night, April 1, 2025, around 9:05 p.m., was reported which allowed Blue Shift companies to dispatch to the to residential fire.

A secondary alarm was sounded to inform of the possibility of entrapment in the residence.

Upon arrival, it was noted that there was smoke coming from the facade of the residence, with a denser smoke originating from the posterior, and slight smoke driving from the eaves.

Entry into the residence was completed by crews via the front entry door to the home in order to perform a search and to combat the fire that was ablaze in the kitchen.

Upon searching it was discovered that there was no entrapment as no one was inside the residence, and no injuries were reported.

By 9:21 p.m., crews had managed to get the fire controlled, and by 9:30 p.m., they had managed to get it completely extinguished.

Once the fire was extinguished fans were then utilized to siphon smoke away and from the structure, and the firefighters then examined the structure for any signs of a hidden fire in its ceilings.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
