Vivian Marable Roberts

Vivian Marable Roberts, 75, of Trenton, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Vivian worked as a nurse, first as an LPN and then as an RN, for 40 years in the Chattanooga area at Parkridge, Erlanger, home health, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Vivian loved nothing better than ‘playing in the dirt’ with her flowers and plants, and especially enjoyed sharing them with others.

She was accomplished at numerous crafts and hobbies including basket weaving, decorative painting, woodworking, soap and candle making, quilting, sewing, and crocheting. She particularly loved making ladies’ tote bags for her friends.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Della (Pence) Marable.

She is survived by her domestic partner of 36 years Mike Holland of Trenton; daughter, Melinda (Curtis) Sims of Whitwell TN; brother, Eddie (Tena) Marable of New Salem; and life-long friend, Lovilla “Bibble” Farmer of New Salem.

The family would like to thank Cheryl Morgan, Frances Taylor, and the others at Dade Transit as well as the staff at Dialysis Clinic Inc (DCI) on Broad Street for making Vivian’s last months possible.

No public service is planned, but if you would like to honor Vivian you can do so by making a donation to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org or by becoming an organ donor.
