Joe Windell Rice age 93 of Pisgah, Alabama died, Friday, July 11, 2025 surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be on Sunday, July 13, at 2:00 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Morris Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at New Home Cemetery in Rosalie. The family will receive friends at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel on Saturday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM CT and on Sunday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM CT.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Margaret Rice; daughter: Toni Wheeler; sons: Tony Rice(Wendy), Mike Stephens(Jan), Guy Rice(Phyllis), David Stephens; grandchildren: Joey Stewart, Aaron Rice(Huong), Amanda Cole(Greg), Samuel Arnold, James Arnold(Emily), Donyell Rice(Casey), Nathaniel Rice, Jared Rice, Shasta Rice, April Parnell(Collin), Amber Rice, Danielle Crain, Natalie Huxtable,Corey Wheeler(Brianna) Kayla Stephens, Kaitlyn Phillips(Shauwn), Brandon Stephens; 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lincoln and Ola Pearl Overton Rice; children, Rickey Stephens, Tommye Sue Eakins, Archie Rice; grandchildren, Vanessa Stewart, Cody Rice; siblings, Unice Brewster, Inez Wheeler, Pam Davis, Thomas Orum Rice, Jean Bastin, James Rice, Winnafred Brown, Frankie Lee Rice.
