James Douglas “Doug” Dillard age 66 of Ider, AL died Thursday, April 17, 2025 at his residence surrounded by family. No formal services are planned at this time.
Doug was born on July 3, 1958 in Austin, TX. to parents, David Lane and Jimmie Aline Buttram Dillard. He was a 1976 graduate of Rich East High School in Richton Park, IL., where he lettered in football and wrestling. He served in the National Guard in both Alabama and Illinois. He had worked for Stickland Building Supply for several years in additional to caring for his son, Brian.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Gibson Dillard, daughter, Aline Perry, son, Thomas Dillard, grandchildren, Jessica Williams, Mackena Phillips, Aleigha Kinley, Chevelle Perry, great-grandchildren, Delanie Pilgrim and Laiklan Williams, sister, Suzanne Anderson (Ronald), sister-in-law, Karen Kempf, along with nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, son, Brian Dillard and brother, David Loyd Dillard.
